A bright orange-yellow flower that blooms during the springtime. It can spread across wide territories, covering as many as 1700 acres of land in some regions of California.

The California poppy is the official state flower of California. When picked these flowers wilt quickly, losing their petals and beauty. Best to leave them in the ground!
