Description

Long (up to 70 cm/2 ft) blade-shaped body with a pointed nose; can be red, green, or brown in color.

Behaviors

Stays close to kelp for camouflage, pretending to be a kelp blade as it sways with the waves. It can also change color to match its background.

Baby giant kelpfish sometimes swim in schools with shrimp.
