Description

Bright yellow-orange flower named for its sticky leaves and blossom that resembles a grinning monkey face.
 

More Information: Shrub that grows to around 1.2 m (4 ft), native to California and Baja California in Mexico.

Fun Facts

The sticky resin on the leaves protects the plant both from drying out and from the butterfly larvae that like to feed on it.
