Description

Smooth, oval-shaped and blue-gray in color with a length up to 53 cm (21 in).

Behaviors

Lives under kelp beds where it swims in schools, which can churn up the water when feeding. If it avoids becoming a meal for larger fish (or humans!) it can live up to 44 years.
