Perhaps a strange choice for our #botanyblast, but it is one of the most prolific flowering plants at Point Lobos. Growing throughout the Reserve, you can identify it by the three shiny leaves that grow next to one another, it can be red to green with shades in between. While lovely to look at, it can cause a rash if you get the oils on your skin. The old adage sums it up, “Leaves of three, let ‘em be”.
