Description
A black to dark brown, blue, or green speckled fish with lighter underbelly. The larger females can grow up to 1.5 m (5 ft) in length, weighing 70 pounds.
Behaviors
Hides behind rocks and in algae to ambush prey with its large, toothy mouth.
Fun Facts
Females can produce up to a half million eggs at once, weighing 15 pounds!
